The growth in salaried jobs between 1988 and 2000 went hand in hand with the number of agricultural concerns. However, these concerns did less work with the 164 200 employed in 2000 than in 1988.
The growth in salaried jobs between 1988 and 2000 went hand in hand with the number of agricultural concerns. However, these concerns did less work with the 164 200 employed in 2000 than in 1988. With the increase in the number of employed came an increase in part-time work, a situation particularly noticeable in non-specialized concerns. The quality label wine-growing sector remained the principal employer accounting for nearly a quarter of the jobs.
