Farmers themselves or their families increasingly practice a non-agricultural activity. The nature of the activities and the remuneration obtained depend on the corresponding work-time. These activities are also increasing on livestock-breeding farms. They are often the responsibility of farm wives. The extra revenue is often equal to the farm revenue and offsets fluctuations and some disparities.
