Steps toward quality are developing in French fruit production.
Steps toward quality are developing in French fruit production. More than 10 % of the national orchard is today under official quality mark. Appellation of controlled origin, organic agriculture, red label or certificate of compliance thus cover 17,000 hectares. Besides these four marks, other specifications exist, covering an additional 10 % of the orchard, and some of them meet the requirements of official standardisation.
